#What I ate
00:52
Anybody who knows me knows I'm OBSESSED with food. If you ever see me I usually have some sort of yummy goodness in my hand (usually unhealthy things) or talking about my next meal. In fact, I could be eating my dinner and thinking about what I'm going to cook the following day. So I thought I may as well share what I've eaten during the week on here because who doesn't like looking and talking about food??
One of the main reasons I was very excited to move to Nottingham was the fact that there is a Turtle Bay here. There isn't one back home which is quite sad. For anyone who hasn't heard of Turtle Bay or hasn't been there, it's basically a restaurant that serves Caribbean food or Caribbean takes on food.
Because of my love for this place it only made sense to go there when my parents came up to visit me. To start I went for the Jerk wings and then I went for the Curried brown chicken with fried dumplings and sweet potato fries. And I have to say it was so delicious! I couldn't finish it all though so I ended taking it home which was perfect as I didn't have to buy dinner (which was great for my bank account) and I could eat it twice. The other good thing about Turtle Bay is that they do 2-4-1 cocktails from 12 - 7 so it's a great place to go with friends or before a night in the town!
I've also been 'trying' to eat much more healthier lately. It's working out pretty well lately, aside from the odd cheat days I have. I find eating healthy can be quite expensive but I've got a recipe book that includes some good healthy meals that doesn't cost a lot at all to make!
I ended up making Spaghetti with Prawns because I am a huge fish lover. It was very quick and easy to make, just prawns spaghetti and a jar of tomato pasta sauce. Great for when you don't have a lot of time to cook or don't have a lot of money to spend.
Finally the last good meal I'd eaten is of course from Wagamamas. It's a great place to go when you want good but fast food, and it's also quite affordable. I usually get a different thing every time I go because I want to try everything on the menu it looks so good! I can't remember the name for this meal but it was quite spicy which is how I like my curries. Of course, a trip to Wagamamas isn't complete without a side of chilli Squid. The restaurant is literally up the road from me so I can't help but pop in there after uni or on a Sunday when cooking just isn't an option!
