Trend project - Week 1 & 2

For the next project we had to do it was all about looking at trends and whether or not consumers were wearing them. Again, we were put into groups and given a category to look at. My group got given footwear and so as a sub category we chose to look at women's trainers. It felt like the best category to do because we all wear trainers and know quite a bit about them.

For the first task it was all about research and finding out what trends were predicted for the A/W 15' trend. We looked on WGSN mainly because it was the most reliable source and got images of that. we also created a mini report that included pictures of the trends, as well as facts and figures about women's trainers in general.

For the second task it was all about how consumers had adopted the trend so we went around the streets taking pictures of people who were wearing he trends. this was super fun because we got to ask people questions about the trends and why they chose the shoes. It was perfect primary research. We had to put all our findings onto a powerpoint and present it at the end, too. to spice things up on the powerpoint we decided to put in moving gifs of people walking and what they were wearing because trainers are all about movement, which the tutors loved and we enjoyed making. It was just little things like that that made our presentation a little bit different.
