Burberry - Creative campaign BFA winner 2015

I feel like it came as no surprise that Burberry won the 'Creative Campaign' award this year. The award congratulates and recognises the innovative awards of the year and I feel like it's the perfect award for Burberry as they have done so stunning campaigns this year. The award was presented to Chief creative and Executive officer Christopher Bailey by supermodel Naomi Campbell - a personal favourite model of mine.

Throughout the years Burberry has came out with some amazing campaigns. At the end of October Burberry produced one of the best pieces of marketing this year. The brand teamed up with Snapchat and launched the first ever 24 hour fashion campaign, shot by Mario Testino. It was shot on a mobile, for a mobile which makes them ahead of the game because people are constantly on their phone nowadays so it makes it easily accessible.

And then you have their christmas advert. This year Burberry recreated the opening scene of billy Elliot, which included stars like Elton John, James Corden, George Ezra and Romeo Beckham. Although the cast is only really jumping up and down, Burberry has managed to make an advert that is quite subtle in their brand promotion, but also one that is going to be nostalgic for those who love Billy Elliot and want to join in with celebrating the 15 year anniversary.

One of my favourite Burberry moments has to be the Beijing Holographic fashion show in 2011. It was so well put together and effortless. They saw an opportunity to use technology in their show and it 100% paid off and was named 'Mother of All Parties' by the Daily Telegraph. It was filmed in all angles in real time and the whole look of it was amazing. I remember one of my teachers talking about it in one of my seminars and I just fell in love instantly. I was never really a fan of Burberry (except for their trench coats I'm obsessed) but they have definitely caught my attention lately and is one of my favourite brands now for their creativeness and uniqueness.
