Styling Shoot

For my course I had to go and conduct a styling shoot for part of the Styling unit I'm doing. I chose to go to Wrest Park because of how beautiful and spacious it is. Every picture had a scenic background which was amazing for my portfolio.

My model was my best friend Rhian Simeon, who was great to work with. She had the exact look I wanted and knew what poses to do straight away. I wanted to have a chic yet rugged look and so I chose this outfit to style her in because it reflected the personality of my brand. The coat is very in season right now as camel has appeared everywhere. I also like the style of the coat as it's a cocoon fit which makes it look oversized and comfy - much like the Olsen Twins.

I also styled another one of my best friends, Annie Wood. For this look I wanted something that was quite youthful and fun. I captured this picture by accident which is why it's my favourite. It was caught in the moment and you can see the joy on her face. This salmon pink brings out the natural pink on her cheeks making her look free of make up and young. I feel the boots roughen her up a bit and make her look not so much like a child. Because it's coming up to winter, boots are a must have this season. Especially where I live because it snows very heavy!
